DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

Under the supervision of the assigned supervisor, carries out various kitchen tasks, including preparing, packaging, and serving food, as well as cleaning utensils, dishes, and equipment.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:

Assist in the preparation of food items.
Clean tables or counters and assist in maintaining proper care of equipment and sanitation of kitchen.
Package food on an assembly line.
Operate kitchen equipment.
Wash dishes, utensils, pots and pans, and other kitchen equipment.
Serve meals at school sites.
Perform cashiering duties manually or utilizing computerized cash register system.
Heat meals in commercial warming equipment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

High School diploma or equivalent
Experience in quantity food preparation or service is desirable

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

KNOWLEDGE OF:

Basic methods of quantity food preparation.
Proper serving and storage of food

ABILITY TO:

Perform tasks as defined above.
