DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

The teacher works alongside the School Site Principal to develop and execute a learning plan for students, and undertakes other school projects as needed.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Exhibiting respect and concern towards the various stakeholders is critical for educators as it helps to establish positive relationships and build trust.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:

Offers courses in reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, health, art, physical education, music, and citizenship, based on the course of study mandated by the Education Board and other relevant educational techniques, with the possibility of teaching a foreign language.
Educators task themselves with planning learning experiences that not only motivate students but also utilize instructional time in the most productive way.
Developing and enforcing standards of pupil behavior is critical to promoting an optimal learning environment

Tracks the learning and social achievements of students, documents progress, produces reports, and liaises with parents regarding individual progress.
Works closely with other professionals to evaluate the needs of pupils and develop appropriate interventions

Academic success requires more than just academic knowledge- it also requires healthy habits and a positive mindset.

Teaming up with students, produces a stimulating and appealing academic environment by developing innovative displays, bulletin boards, and interest centers.
Provides core attendance accounting and office support functions as requested.

Supplementary Functions:

Picks and procures books, instructional materials and teaching equipment, and updates inventory documentation accordingly.
Regulates heating, lighting, and ventilation systems as much as possible to promote a cozy and welcoming environment.
While on duty, the assistant monitors pupils who are taking part in activities that are not inside the classroom.
Administers standardized tests collectively, following the testing program specified by the school district.
Participates in development programs designed to enhance the quality of education delivery in the school or district.
Contributes to the success of student activities through sponsorship and actively serving on academic committees.
The smooth functioning of the classroom or work environment depends on my ability to manage and direct the work of aides and other support staff.
Cooperates with other staff members in the execution of social hygiene and outdoor education programs.

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Appropriate credential as required by the District and the State for the position.
