DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

The School Site Principal supervises the teacher's delivery of an educational program to students and may allocate additional tasks associated with school programs.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

In order to adhere to the standards of the district, a teacher must possess the capability to form judgments and carry out their responsibilities effectively, while also exhibiting respect and concern to students, parents, and fellow personnel.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:

Pupils receive education in diverse fields such as reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, health, art, physical education, music, and citizenship under the guidance of the teacher who instructs based on the curriculum authorized by the Board of Education and other appropriated educational content.
Designs deliberate teaching methods to stimulate students and effectively use available instructional time.
Acts to instill and uphold standards of behavior among pupils that are vital to promoting an environment conducive to effective learning.
Tracks the academic and social growth of pupils, maintains appropriate records, generates thorough progress reports, and engages in regular communication with parents to provide updates on individual student achievements.
In collaboration with other education professionals, assesses the needs of students and implements the required strategies to resolve health, attitude, and learning-related concerns.
Collaborates with pupils to establish an aesthetically pleasing and practical setting for education, using unique displays, informative bulletin boards, and interactive activity centers.
Executes basic attendance accounting and business support responsibilities as required.

OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Selects and orders textbooks, educational resources, and supplies, in addition to recording inventory information.
Ensures that the room remains comfortable by regulating the heating, lighting, and ventilation as much as possible.
Acts as a supervisor during school-sanctioned events that take place outside of the classroom.
In compliance with the district's testing program, the group standardized test is administered.
Actively participates in programs aimed at enhancing the curriculum of the assigned school or the entire district.
Takes part in funding student events and joins in faculty groups.
As part of my duties, I am in charge of coordinating the duties of teacher aides, assistants, and other support staff.
Works alongside other professionals to implement social hygiene and outdoor education campaigns.

EDUCATION AND CREDENTIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Appropriate credential as required by the District and the State for the position.
