DESCRIPTION OF POSITION:

The teacher is responsible for implementing an educational program for students under the leadership of the School Site Principal, and supporting various school initiatives if required.

PERSONAL QUALIFICATIONS:

Teachers should be able to uphold the district's standards while displaying good decision-making skills and performing their job duties effectively.

REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES:

Implements an educational program that consists of numerous subjects such as reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, health, art, physical education, music, and citizenship, making use of the curriculum authorized by the Board of Education and other applicable teaching methods. It is also plausible to teach a foreign language.
By creating structured educational opportunities, teachers can engage pupils and effectively use available class time.
A cohesive set of guidelines for student conduct is necessary to enable effective educational experiences

Assesses the academic and personal development of pupils, maintains pertinent records, develops progress evaluations, and communicates with parents regarding their child's progress.
Collaborates with other educators to identify the needs of the students and to develop strategies to address them

Educators take on the responsibility of addressing health, attitude and learning issues that their students may face, in order to aid them in achieving academic success.

Works alongside pupils to build an inviting, dynamic, and effective learning atmosphere by erecting visually appealing displays, bulletin boards, and interest areas.
Carries out essential attendance bookkeeping and other related duties.
